Stolen Tools Will Becoming Harder to Sell

With an increase of vans, work trailers etc. being broken into and tools stolen, New Zealand’s new Health & Safety law has a pleasant side effect.

Kevin Johnson, the manager of MegaTest explains “as part of our Test & Tag operation, we offer our clients a full asset register of equipment tested. Were possible we will input serial number, model numbers etc. into the register. This not only gives the business owner an overview of their equipment and its location (which van, workshop, etc.) but also has benefits for insurance purposes.”

Kevin continues by saying “Although some other PAT (portable appliance testing) companies offer the same service, we also supply stickers which can be attached to the Vans window to discourage theft.”
